Stretch marks are blemishes on the skin caused
by a break down of collagen and elastin. Pregnancy and weight loss
are the prinicipal causes. Laser helps to improve these marks by
rebuilding collagen structure and also diffusing redness, even
faded red marks are responsive to this treatment.
An average of
four treatments will be required every two months. The depth of
the stretch mark does not matter as the energy is absorbed in the
dermal layer stimulating collagen from there. For more stubborn
stretch marks a combination of microdermabrasion and laser can be
used. Stretch marks may not be removed completely but regular
treatment will help iron out its irregular formation.
Prices will
vary and a consultation is required.
